Which is a specialty fashion (Locrian) Hypophrygian church?
I wrote a choral work for 4 voices and I want to know more about this Mode weird. All I know is that it starts with diminished chord (BDF). I assume that there is more about this, but it's very rare to write mode and settings melody.
Locrian is one of the rare examples where practice precedes theory. Concept Locrian Mode occurs before it is actually found in practice - and even now, only rarely encountered this. is the scale locrian B: BCDEFGAB The basic triad is diminished (BDF), as you say. You also can take that as a small scale with 2 derived (C, not C #) and 5 (F, not F #). Personally, I would recommend this to a piece of the choir, except if you work with a very talented group singer or will use only in isolated mode of discourse. This is a very difficult fashion to sing in!
